Does the time I spend taking a course contribute towards the 800 hours of education experience?

Time you spend taking a course (where you are doing the learning) does not contribute towards the 800 hours of diabetes education experience. Time that you spend as an instructor of a course teaching a course, not preparing for it, (where you provide the information regarding diabetes) does contribute towards your 800 hours. Remember Diabetes Education experience must be in accordance with the competencies as outlined by the CDECB.
