CDECB Announces Use of Electronic Certification Platform

In keeping with the mission and vision of the Canadian Diabetes Educator Certification Board, and considering the safety of all stakeholders and respecting the challenges of health care professionals during the COVID-19 global pandemic, the Canadian Diabetes Educator Certification Board (CDECB) has invested in the infrastructure to provide electronic certification to all of its candidates.

Chairman, Robert Armstrong, is excited to announce the CDECB’s certification examination will be administered on an electronic platform. The examination content will remain consistent as per the 2020 Examination Handbook. The CDECB’s investment in its electronic platforms facilitates the movement to an electronic environment.

Armstrong states the integrity of the CDECB’s examination, the health and safety of our examination candidates, and those who administer our examinations, were taken into account when considering the movement of the processes. It is a “very exciting time for the CDECB”, states Armstrong!

The Canadian Diabetes Educator Certification Board is responsible for the development and administration of the certification program for Certified Diabetes Educators (CDE®) in Canada.

Registration for the 2025 CDECB Exam and submission of Credit Portfolio is open.
