Certification Exam

Exam Update

The 2024 results for both the Exam and Credit Portfolio can be reviewed by logging into your CDECB Account.  Once into your account, if you were successful, you will see a line that indicates your “CDE Designation expires on June 30 20XX.”

Exam Dates for the 2025 exam are as follows:  (You may choose one of the following)

Thursday May 22, 2025
Friday May 23, 2025
Saturday May 24, 2025

Registration for the 2025 Exam and submission of a Credit Portfolio will begin in the fall of 2024.  Please check back then.

Certification Maintenance

Credit Portfolio Option

Beginning in 2006, Certified Diabetes Educators have had Certification Maintenance by Credit Portfolio available as an alternative to the Certification Examination every five years in order to maintain their CDE® status.
